TSMC Board of Directors Approves Two Additional Seats

HSIN-CHU, Taiwan, March 26, 2002 – Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company Ltd. (TSMC or the “Company”) (NYSE: TSM) today held a special meeting of the Board of Directors, at which the Board approved the election of two additional Directors at the Company’s regular Shareholders’ Meeting in May.
